Ozark S1 - Thoughts

E1: Sugarwood What I'm seeing looks sketch. What I'm hearing sounds like news. Welcome to the first few minutes lol. I must be sick because I really thought there was a cut up body in that cooler that was being dragged around. I've seen this one guy somewhere. I don't know his name on the show yet and I DEF don't know his name in real life. I'm not going to google it right now though since I'm already multitasking. OMG, he's a freak lmao. Op. his name is Marty. That MF was really not paying attention to the convo for some adult content :X I don't like Marty's friend already. He's a little too "college dude" for me. Seems like he's a bad influence and doesn't know how to make good decisions. Just rubs me the wrong way.  Ok this lady of the night knows waaay too much about Marty lol. HAHAHAHA his imagination is amazing. I think this missing money problem was that one friend (Bruce) I mentioned earlier. Marty is not dying toda

The New Girl

Image
A lot of people have issues being the new person at work. Honestly, I don't really mind it once I get over the awkwardness of not knowing people's names.  I just started a new job Valentine's Day 2022. Everyone here seems really nice. Shoot, even before I got the job, I had great vibes from the manager. (It didn't hurt that I found her super pretty lol) That was actually probably one of the best interviews I've ever had, to be honest. After some laughter and conversations about who we are, she ended up wishing me bad luck on the rest of my interviews because she wanted me to work at her company. Low and behold, here I am almost three weeks later! I hadn't really worked at a physical location since March of 2020 due to COVID and what not. I did have a job for 1 week at a beauty supply store, but something happened, and I had to quit. That's a story for another day.  Anyway, because I have been so anti-social during the pandemic, reintegrating with people is

I'm Sorry (Note to Self)

Image
This draft title(I'm Sorry)- has been sitting here since 8/3/19. Here goes (2/25/22) (Note to self. Added today) I'm sorry for the times I made you feel like you were less than enough. For when I didn't give you the credit you deserved. For making it feel like it was your fault.                                                       I'm sorry for making you suck in your stomach and making you feel self-conscious. For making fun of your double chin and your facial hair. For making you feel like just because you're not the typical girl, you are not amazing. I'm sorry for making you a liar just to make you more appealing. For making you feel like that was the only way people would like you. For helping you pack one lie on top of another, then forgetting them and leaving you to the wolves. I'm sorry I can't help you make up your mind. For being unmotivated and indecisive. For not going for it. I'm sorry for giving up so easily. For being too afraid to tr

Surprising Benefits Of Washing Dishes

Image
Here's a random though.                                   People hate washing dishes.     You come home, see a stack piled high and you dread the moment when you finally have to give in and get to cleaning.     Unpopular opinion, I think those people are crazy. Quite frankly, washing dishes is probably my favorite chores, followed by vacuuming and bathing animals. Its so calming (so long as you're not rushing to do them or your mom didn't just yell at you for 2 hours to get them done).    Think about it really quickly. (If you're actually going to do what I say, have someone read this to you or listen to the podcast version I produced of this blog). Close your eyes, imagine the warm/hot water running down your hands. The Dawn, or whatever dish soap you use, being poured onto the sponge, squishing the sponge, feeling the angles and turns of all the dishes you have. The satisfying feeling of making a greasy Tupperware squeaky clean. Look, if this isn't convinc

Why People Can't Mind Their Own Business

Image
I don't know when it happened or why it took me so long to realize it, but people are freaking nosy. You can't so much as mention something remotely interesting to your friend without the crowd getting involved. Scenario: Me to friend: Hey, did you hear about Trumps plans to build the wall? Friend:*about to respond* Nosy ass person: Yea and... My thoughts: HOLD UP!!! Last I checked, I was NOT talking to you!            Now, normally someone butting into a conversation doesn't bug me, because generally, they have something to actually say, valid points, or incomplete thoughts that they'd like to discuss. However, you still have some people who just like to hear themselves talk, or create issues. Those people can walk the other way because their opinions were neither required nor desired.             I do understand though. Humans are curious creatures. Besides being unusual, we have a strong desire to know or learn. People are curious because they are

Why Holidays are Over Rated

Image
A holiday is a day where something is celebrated and people don't work. Which, quite frankly is UNTRUE, especially if you work in the food service or hospitality industry. During holidays, we're supposed to share and spend time together... But what do we actually learn from holidays? Except for some history that most people don't even know or care about, I say nothing. We learn absolutely nothing. Don't believe me? Let me break down a few of our (U.S.) federal holidays. January 1st: New Years Day    We start the year with food, fireworks, alcohol, watching some kind of countdown on your television with a bunch of friends, family, and/or strangers. What do we celebrate? Making it through another 365 or 366 days(leap year). 3rd Monday in January: MLK day Martin Luther King day celebrates the life and achievements of Dr.MLK Jr. MLK played a very important role in ending segregation. He led the Civil Rights Movement in the 50s and 60s, he "fought

Here's Why I Didn't Smoke Recreational Marijuana In California

Image
Random Thought.   What would happen if we were all able to smoke weed legally?      You would think that everyone and their mom would throw a smoke sesh on the beach or something... but no. It's really not that serious.     See, I went on a trip to California a few weeks ago, where Marijuana is legal for medical and recreational use. I visited several cities in the span of 4 days. Not 1 time did I hear people talk about weed, and not 1 time did I see someone with weed. Although there were several advertisements for delivery and what not, I didn't so much as smell weed in the air. I get smacked with the smell of weed more walking down the streets of Miami than I did in Cali.     While there, my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to smoke. I was totally down for the idea. Smoke and not get in trouble? I'm down!... Then she said the reason she didn't already get it for me is because once your name gets put into the systems you cant work for the government. Very quick
